The Bear - Oxford

Oxford is full of surprises, and you’ll find one of its best on the corner of Alfred Street - The Bear Inn. Dating from 1242, it is the oldest pub in Oxford (no mean feat!) and probably one of the smallest too. This hidden gem is well known for its collection of Oxford college ties which cover the walls of one of its cosy rooms. Hugely popular among locals, there is large selection of local brews on offer if you can squeeze your way to the bar
