The Chequers Inn - Berrick Salome

Towards the eastern edge of Oxfordshire, you’ll find quaint little villages dotted about, each with their own village pub to represent them. In Berrick Salome, the flint-and-brick Chequers Inn is a lovely example of this whose reputation has come on leaps and bounds in recent times. The food is Michelin-recommended and the menu offers a great mixture of pub classics as well as modern dishes cooked with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Monthly and weekly specials allow you to enjoy excellent food at generous prices.

The pub bar has a warm relaxed vibe, while the main eating area winds it’s way to the back of the pub where you’ll find a beautiful vaulted ceiling.
