The White Heart of Wytham - Wytham

Earlier this week we got the chance to visit the delightful and unspoilt White Hart pub in Wytham. The pub stands discreetly in the centre of the village, draped in an enormous climber plant which turns brilliantly red in autumn (unfortunately just missed in our picture🍁). Originally a 16th century farmhouse, the pub retains a courtyard which during summer is used for barbecues and live performances.

Inside the pub has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere - a cosy place for a drink - although the pub is more of a diner’s pub, of which the food has an exceptional reputation. On Wednesday’s it’s ‘pie and a pint’ night, and we loved@martin_sherrifftake on the British classic. The humble mushy peas were delicious. One of the friendliest pub’s we’ve been too, and lovely to meet the staff at the end.
